A couple of Halloween’s ago I attended a costume party at Shunt with the theme of British Sex Comedies. I chose the above get up which in my own way tried to emulate a mixture of Peter Bowles in that episode of Rising Damp he’s in mixed with a bit of Leslie Philips from Doctor in Clover. Recently Michael Adebayo immortalised this image in his own inimitable style (see below).
Michael is the artist behind one of my absolute favourite comics of recent years Midnight Ninja. Buy it here. You will not be disappointed.

Michael also recently drew a version of the picture above for my birthday.
Here’s Michael and I.

That canvas was so excellent. Best birthday present ever. That’s like something a grownup would be given. Also that picture is great. You look about a stone fatter just by holding a donut. Mazing.
Best photo of you ever. You’re not that fat but it looks more like you than all the other ones. My Ma LOVES it, natch.
Roly poly donut Nat makes me smile. Not like lean, cruel ComTrac Nat.
flipping amazing.
he`s good at guessing a man`s donut character too.
hey this link is better for the book:
