that colouring is good isn`t it. Leon did that.
what did you think of these Boobytraps?
The colouring is ace, but I also really liked the black and white cover on V. I really liked ‘em, always do, they feel like the dreams based on the films I watched a lot as a kid. Particularly in volume IV. Were the different sequences taken from abandoned projects or were they always meant to read that way? What was the significance of the dates?
ESCAPE FROM PLANE was like the first 20 minutes of Planet of the Apes mixed with Capricorn One.
The characters in THE WALL reminded me of Pigsy from Monkey (mixed with my memories of a villain from an 80s Dr Who who was basically cannibal butcher), VS Box from Logan’s Run run mixed with the Robbie the Robot from Forbidden Planet.
Were the strips all drawn at completely different times? The last story feels like it was done a long before the rest of the comic.
roughly the same time drawn i think,
actually the sci-fi ones were going to be a part of a comic that would go on until i die but i decided to leave it.
It was also a kind of practice ground for material for a sadler boy`s project called British Weapon Comics. It came out alright in the end as a curiosity but my heart wasn`t in it. not like it was in that Believer strip.
the dates were to relate the different threads together different points in the same Aeon.
the cook and the robot were two of the most horrible to draw and look at stupid characters i could think of.
Interesting.
