Me and my pal Hayley Campbell have become slightly obsessed with “Spiked Fury”. Spiked Fury is the name we’ve given to broken abandoned umbrella’s that appear to have been blown inside out and then beaten to death by their disgruntled owners. I like to think that each one tells a story of pure anger, and frustration, while being soaked.
This blog has a lovely selection of them, as does this one. Here’s some others I’ve found. Why not let this music wash over you while you peruse them. Enjoy.
If you see any good examples of Spiked Fury! Please send to me at nathaniel@tombolaoffun.com.

Awesome. Should I find any, I’ll send photos your way. I normally have my camera on me.
Been taking photos of lost gloves lately. They seem to embody a sense of the forlorn and forgotten I find quite nice.
Happy 2010!
I’m intrigued and pleased that others share my fascination with abandoned umbrellas. I thought several of your pictures were remarkable, and I’m pleased you linked to my blog.
it`s the only thing that gets littered in Japan.
Thanks to Jonathan, Jonathan and Doreen for commenting. I can’t claim any ownership over any of the pics though, they’re a collection I found while searching online.
