Here’s the transcript of a ad lib I did about the Christmas Radio Times at Knock2New on the 10th December last year. I recorded the gig, so it survived rather than be forgotten forever. I used it a device to get on to my Barefoot Executive material, but a lot of people liked it and encouraged me to keep doing it. I thought it was a bit too seasonal to do at other times of the year but maybe I’ll bring it back for a some of my pre-Christmas gigs. So imagine the following material being delivered in a terribly excited manner by me for the full high-definition effect:

“This is an exciting time of year for me.
Is anyone else excited about the release of the Christmas Radio Times?
It’s double-sized!
It’s always one of the highlights of my year! I usually get it as soon as I can!
In the last few weeks before Christmas they don’t come out every Tuesday like they normally do, it’ll start coming out on a Friday say, just after the Tuesday, not a longer wait, and then after that they start coming out even closer together, like the following Monday or something. The Christmas one and the one before Christmas usually come out about really close together, but Christmas is the big one and I usually trail all the shops to get it first…”
