If you’re regular reader of this blog (and why should you be, I’m not even a regular writer of it) you’ll know of my obsession with the genius that was Anthony Newley. Well I will be giving a short chat about this largely forgotten hero on Tuesday at a brilliant new comedy night called Lost Treasures of the Black Heart organised by Josie Long. Here’s how Josie describes the night: “…it’s going to be a sort of comedy-presentation night, where people come down with short bits extolling the virtues of an obscure uncelebrated deserving personage they’ve found (or invented), or showcasing some facts they feel other people should know, or just being willfully obscure”. Come along if you can, it sounds like it’s going to be a fun night. Details below:

I must admit I was never a massive fan, but my mother certainley was one of his biggest. I will point her in this direction. Many Thanks
